The formal style for life peers is "The Rt Hon The Lord/Baroness 
X" and referred to as "Firstname, Baron/Baroness/Lady X", or less 
formally, "Lord/Baroness/Lady X"


De abban tévedtem korábban, hogy a sima lovaggá ütöttek is Lordok 
lennének. Azok valóban csak Sir/Dame akárkik.

Példa: Laurence Olivier -> The Right Honourable The Lord Olivier

Olivier was created a Knight Bachelor on 12 June 1947 in the 
King's Birthday Honours,[50] and created a life peer on 13 June 
1970 in the Queen's Birthday Honours as Baron Olivier, of Brighton 
in the County of Sussex, the first actor to be accorded this 
distinction.

1947-től még csak Sir volt, 1970-től lett Lord.


Hogy tovább bonyolítsuk a dolgot, létezik olyan adományozott cím, 
ami öröklődik (feltéve, hogy az örökös jelentkezik e célból a 
lordkancellárnál). Ez a baronet. Címük Sir/Dame (a Sir 
felesége Lady).
