DIGI-KEY CAPTURE CIS LIBRARY
Digi-Key and OrCAD Join Together to Deliver a FREE Library

The Digi-Key Capture CIS Library contains information for 66,000 + parts
found in the Digi-Key catalog 45,000 + of these parts have an OrCAD
schematic graphical representations associated. Using this database you can
explore, query, filter and place Digi-Key parts directly onto your Capture
CIS Version 9.2 (or later) schematic page.

Although this database is supplied in Microsoft Access Database format
(DIGIKEY.MDB), you can transition the data into any database format you and
your company require. When used with a database application less robust than
Microsoft Access, this large a database of parts will decrease CIS
performance. For this reason, we recommend that you transition the database
to an SQL server or an equivalent client/server database. If you must
transition to a less robust database application, reduce the number of parts
in the database by only including those that meet your immediate design
requirements (your set of preferred parts).

This database is intended for use only by Capture CIS Version 9.2 (or later)
users as the schematic parts associated in the database are only available
from the new schematic parts libraries supplied on the Capture CIS Release
9.2.1 (or later version) CD. A separate ZIP file (DIGIKEYLIBRARIES.ZIP)
contains additional schematic symbols (parts) that are not supplied as part
of the Release 9 installation. Please unzip these additional OLBs into your
Library directory.

In addition to the library, the DIGIKEYDATABASE.ZIP file contains a Capture
CIS Release 9.2.1 configuration file named DIGIKEY.DBC. For the
configuration file and the database to operate as intended, you need to
create a data source name called Digikey, using the ODBC Access driver. For
information about creating the Data Source Name, see Setting up the ODBC
data source in your Capture CIS User Guide.

DigiKey.MDB includes the following:
Capacitors 2424
Connectors 18573
Discretes 5897
ICs 14009
Inductors 2295
Misc 8258
Potentiometers 503

Resistors 14867
TOTAL 66826
