 An Industry First: Jet-Printed Plastic Transistor Arrays

A team of researchers from the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), a
subsidiary of Xerox Corp., have developed the first plastic
semiconductor transistor array patterned entirely with jet printing.
This approach, similar to that found in the familiar office inkjet
printer, is inexpensive and could eliminate photolithography and
expensive deposition processes now used to fabricated active-matrix
display backplanes.

Azaz a Xeroxnal kifejlesztettek egy eljarast, amivel tranzisztor-matrixot
lehet nyomtatni egy, a hagyomanyos tintasugaras nyomtatassal megegyezo
eljarassal. Ezzel megkerulheto a draga fotolitografikus eljaras es sokkal
olcsobban lehet aktiv matrixos kijelzoket gyartani.
